Elon Musk showed off his latest Tesla today. He has been saying for 2 years it was not for everyone and that the design would be very different from most trucks currently on the market… and he was true to his word. The Cyber Truck as he has started calling it is very Blade Runner. If you can get past the different look which some people online are having trouble with, you will find that it has some interesting attributes.

One of the big ones is the Price. Musk had stated that it would start off below 50k and he kept his word again. But most people thought that would mean $49,999.99 but it actually starts at under 40k. There are 3 tiers. The first one is for $39,900 which will be for a single motor, 250 plus mile range and 7,500 pound towing capacity. The 2nd range has dual motors and will be for $49,900 but the 3rd tier will be $69,900 for a tri-motor and towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and over 500 mile range. It will also be able to go 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.

The Cybertruck has a bulletproof exoskeleton. Ultra-Hard 30X Cold-Rolled stainless-steel structural skin to Tesla armor glass. Although, during the presentation the armor glass didn’t do as well as the exoskeleton which was hit with a sledgehammer a few times and didn’t leave a scratch. The armor glass on the other-hand shattered when it was hit with a steel ball. Which would be expected in most cases but not on armor glass. Musk himself was very surprised when the glass broke and said they will fix it in post Ha Ha.

Last 2 things. In a tug of war against a F-150, the Cybertruck easily won. There will also be 110 and 220-Volt electricity outlet for your tools and an air compressor for powering pneumatic tools. The Stats look pretty good but would probably sell a lot better if it had a typical design, but that wouldn’t be very Tesla.
